How to enter

Simple steps on the path to glory:

  1. Check that your project or organisation is eligible for entry by reading the awards rules
  2. Choose your category by assessing your project against the criteria
  3. Go to the relevant category page and click 'enter now'
  4. Submit all the relevant information and answer all the questions carefully
  5. Proof read your answer and double check that you have answered all the questions
  6. Press submit. You will receive an automated confirmation email - remember to check your junk mail if this does not come directly to your inbox

Entry

Who can enter?

The EHI Awards 2011 are open to any healthcare IT organisation of any size based in the UK. Entry implies acceptance of the awards rules.

Can I post my entry or enter via email?

No, all entries must be made online by selecting the category button on the left hand side of the screen and clicking 'enter now'. You must answer all questions on the online entry form.

What is the closing date for entries?

The deadline for entries has been extended to 10 June 2011 at 16.00. Entries received after the deadline will not be counted.

Is there a cost attached to entry?

No, entry to the EHI Awards 2011 is free of charge.

Can the same entry be entered into more than one category?

No, organisations can only enter an individual project into one category. If the same project is entered into more than one category you will be contacted and advised that the most appropriate category for your entry has been chosen.

Can my organisation enter more than one project into the same category?

Separate projects from the same organisation can be entered into the same category.

My organisation is based outside the UK. Can I enter the EHI Awards?

International entries will not be counted. Your entry must demonstrate direct links with the UK healthcare IT sector.

Can I amend an existing entry?

No. Once an entry has been submitted it cannot be amended.

Can I withdraw my entry?

Entries cannot be withdrawn except under exceptional circumstances. Please contact Lauren Hoodless, laurenH@e-health-media.com, if you wish to withdraw your entry.

Can I enter the same project as I entered into the EHI Awards 2010?

It is advisable that you only re-enter projects if there have been significant developments since it was last entered. You should also consider how it meets the criteria outlined on this website.

Judging and the shortlist

How will my entry be judged?

Your entry will be marked against the criteria for the category in which it was entered and will receive a score for each criterion. The top ranking entries will be included in the shortlist and verified at the judging days in July.

Shortlisted entries will be contacted and a member of the relevant organisation or team must be available for a telephone interview should the judges have any additional questions that were not answered in the entry.

Who is on the judging panel?

When is the judging taking place?

Judging will take place in London in July 2011.

When will the final shortlist be announced?

The final shortlist will be announced in July 2011 after the final judging days.

What if I haven't chosen the most appropriate category?

If the judges consider an entry inappropriate for the category in which it was entered they will include it in that category they consider most suitable. You will be contacted if this applies to your entry.

Will I receive feedback on my entry?

No, the judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into on any account regarding the results of any part of the competition.

Publicity

What publicity will our entry/entrants receive?

Shortlisted entries will be required to send in a photo of the entrant(s) for our 'Book of the Night' which is distributed to guests at the awards ceremony.

Details of the shortlisted entries and winners will appear on the EHI Awards 2011 in association with BT and EHI websites and newsletters. Details may also be released to other publications. We also reserve the right to publish material on other areas of the EHI portal.

All the parties involved in the organisation or promotion of the awards reserve the right to publicity concerning any entry.

Awards ceremony

Do shortlisted organisations receive any complimentary tickets?

Each shortlisted organisation will receive one complimentary ticket for the awards ceremony. This is to ensure that all shortlisted organisations have the opportunity to attend and to collect their award should they win.

How can I book additional seats/tables?

Please contact our sales team to book your seat or table.

You are advised to book early to avoid disappointment - in 2010 we ran out of space!
