Entry

Who can enter?

The EHI Awards 2013 in association with CGI are open to any healthcare IT organisation of any size based in the UK. Entry implies acceptance of the awards rules.

Can I post my entry or enter via email?

No, all entries must be made online by selecting the categories tab, selecting the correct category and clicking 'enter now'. You must answer all questions on the online entry form.

What is the closing date for entries?

Entries for the EHI Awards 2013, in association with CGI are now closed.

Is there a cost attached to entry?

No, entry to the EHI Awards 2013 is free of charge.

Can the same entry be entered into more than one category?

No, organisations can only enter an individual project into one category. If the same project is entered into more than one category you will be contacted and advised that the most appropriate category for your entry has been chosen.

Can my organisation enter more than one project into the same category?

Separate projects from the same organisation can be entered into the same category.

My organisation is based outside the UK. Can I enter the EHI Awards?

International entries will not be counted. Your entry must demonstrate direct links with the UK healthcare IT sector.

Can I amend an existing entry?

No. Once an entry has been submitted it cannot be amended.

Can I withdraw my entry?

Entries cannot be withdrawn except under exceptional circumstances. Please contact Lauren Hoodless, LaurenH@e-health-media.com, if you wish to withdraw your entry.

Can I enter the same project as I entered into the EHI Awards 2012?

It is advisable that you only re-enter projects if there have been significant developments since it was last entered. You should also consider how it meets the criteria outlined on this website.

Healthcare IT Champion

How do I enter?

The Healthcare IT Champion entrants are nominated by colleagues or people they have worked with during their current role (suppliers, affiliates, contractors) or based in the UK.

How do I nominate someone for the Healthcare IT Champion award?

Contact Champions@e-health-media.com with the name, job title and company/organisation of your nominated candidate as well as their contact details and a 300 word statement in support of the nomination.

How will I know if I have been nominated/How will the candidate know they have been nominated?

Once entries close (Friday 24 May 2013 at 16.00) all nominees will be contacted to ensure they are happy to be put forward for the award. They will be informed when voting for the award takes place.

When do entries for the nominations open?

Nomination entries open Friday 1 March 2013 at 09.00.

When is the deadline for nomination entries?

The deadline for nomination entries is Friday 1 June 2013 at 16.00. Entries received after the deadline will not be counted.

Is there a cost attached to entry?

No, nominations for the Healthcare IT Champion are free of charge.

Can I nominate more than one individual for the award

No, those nominating can only nominate one individual for the award. Your nomination should be for your champion of the year in healthcare IT. If the same person nominates more than one individual for the award, that person will be contacted and will be requested to choose only one nominee.

Can a nominee from a previous year be re-entered for the award?

Yes, as long as they have not won in previous years.

My nomination is based outside the UK. Can I enter them for the award?

International entries will not be counted. Your entry must demonstrate direct links with the UK healthcare IT sector.

Judging and the shortlist

How will my entry be judged?

Your entry will be marked against the criteria for the category in which it was entered and will receive a score for each criterion. The top ranking entries will be included in the shortlist and verified at the judging day which will take place Wednesday 17 July 2013 at Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0FL.

Shortlisted entries must be available to attend the judging day in order to present their project to the judges.

Who is on the judging panel?

When is the judging taking place?

Judging will commence shortly after the closing date for entries. All shortlisted entries will be invited to a judging day will take place Wednesday 17 July 2013 at Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0FL.

When will the finalists be announced?

The finalists will be announced in July 2013 after the judging day.

What if I haven't chosen the most appropriate category?

If the judges consider an entry inappropriate for the category in which it was entered they will include it in that category they consider most suitable. You will be contacted if this applies to your entry.

Will I receive feedback on my entry?

No, the judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into on any account regarding the results of any part of the competition.

Publicity

What publicity will our entry/entrants receive?

Finalists will be included in our 'Book of the Night' which is distributed to guests at the awards ceremony.

Details of the finalists and winners will appear on the EHI Awards 2013 and EHI websites and newsletters. Details may also be released to other publications. We also reserve the right to publish material on other areas of the EHI portal.

All the parties involved in the organisation or promotion of the awards reserve the right to publicity concerning any entry.

Awards ceremony

Do finalists receive any complimentary tickets?

Each shortlisted organisation will receive one complimentary ticket for the awards ceremony. This is to ensure that all shortlisted organisations have the opportunity to attend and to collect their award should they win.

You are advised to book early to avoid disappointment - in 2012 we completely sold out!
