Excellence in healthcare information management

Every healthcare organisation needs accurate, timely, relevant information to run both the clinical and business aspects of its work. This award recognises the increasing role of IT in areas such as performance measurement, healthcare commissioning and business intelligence.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• How your management of healthcare information has delivered measurable benefits to patient care
• How your work could be replicated elsewhere and scaled up
• How you communicated your work effectively and succeeded in engaging colleagues
• How you demonstrated fresh thinking and innovation, e.g. new ways of using existing information or linking previously isolated sets of information
