Growing awareness of the value of involving patients and citizens in healthcare is driving innovation in this area. Information and communication technologies help organisations to achieve involvement and participation for all patients and citizens.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• How your work has enabled a UK healthcare organisation to achieve their aims in the vital area of patient and citizen involvement in services. Examples could include the use of technology to: target specific groups, widen participation generally, test views on a particular subject or improve individual patients’ participation in their own care and treatment
• How the advance(s) you describe could be replicated elsewhere
