Andy Inniss - Control Training Supervisor in the A&E Emergency Control Room based in Exeter

Andy has applied innovative techniques in IT to engage with a workforce that works 168 hours a week. The control centre is a fast changing environment that needs accessible training delivered in a way that engages the staff. Andy has developed web-based learning which delivers training and good governance for the organisation. His work has been recognised by other trusts that have already used one of his training packages to deliver Flu Pandemic Training (over half of English Ambulance Services have picked up on his work).

This has been made possible because of her hard work and determination to succeed. She has superb organisational skills and knowledge of clinical computer systems and has used these to full effect within the surgery to make vast improvements possible.

Dr Paul Nathan, Hollybrook Medical Centre, Derby City PCT

Dr Nathan sits on the Connecting for Health GP Pan User Group and has this year established the SystmOne National User Group, engaging colleagues across the country and being instrumental in organising the first conference. He is committed to developing ways of using a common clinical system to improve patient care.
